At the Cincinnati Observatory
The Cincinnati Observatory welcomes in the holiday season with a special open house event! We will be open for tours of the historic buildigs and telescopes, safe solar viewing (weather permitting), holiday refreshments, and shopping in our out-of-this-world gift shop!
Local historian and Observatory board member Greg Hand will be here signing copies of his new book "Cincinnati Curiosities" in which he explores the eccentric side of yesterday's Queen City.
And be sure to take a holiday photo by the Observatory’s special Galaxy Tree.
Admission is free. No reservations required. Great for all ages.
COVID-19 Information for Visitors
We recommend and encourage all guests to wear a face mask that covers their nose and mouth when attending in person Observatory programming.
For added safety, we will limit the number of attendees to ensure distancing can be maintained.
We will clean the public areas, equipment, and exhibits before and after each program and have hand sanitizer available in each building for visitors and staff.
We will be maintaining our policy that anyone who feels unwell or displays symptoms associated with COVID-19 will be asked to stay home.
All Cincinnati Observatory staff and volunteers are vaccinated against COVID 19 to help maintain their safety and wellness, as well as those of our guests.
