52 Weeks of Astronomy

In 2019 the Cincinnati Observatory will give at least one free outreach program to each of Cincinnati’s 52 neighborhoods.

From Avondale to Winton Hills, the city of Cincinnati is comprised of 52 neighborhoods.  Not everyone can come to the Cincinnati Observatory to look through the historic telescopes, so we will bring telescopes to each and every neighborhood in Cincinnati in 2019 – 52 neighborhoods in 52 weeks.

The Cincinnati Observatory will partner with Cincinnati Public Schools, Public Libraries of Cincinnati and Hamilton County, Cincinnati Parks, community centers, and churches to deliver an average of one program per week to Cincinnati neighborhoods.

52 Weeks of Astronomy programs are listed below, but we still need help finding venues.  If you'd like to host a star party or know how we can get connected with a neighborhood below, please contact Dean Regas at dean@cincinnatiobservatory.org or 513-321-5186.

The 52 Neighborhoods of Cincinnati

Programs are free and open to the public unless otherwise listed.  Afternoon programs include safe solar viewing, while nighttime events include star gazing with the telescopes (weather permitting).
