Life and Times of Galileo - Online Class
Event Summary

Join Astronomer Dean Regas from the comfort of your own home for this unique online course.
Galileo Galilei (1564-1641) may have been the first modern scientist. His experimental "show me" attitude was unique in the 16th century. And his scientific curiosity led him to discovery after discovery. From his building telescopes he documented the craters of the Moon, the moons of Jupiter, sunspots, and proved the Earth went around the Sun. But a few others paved the way including Copernicus, Brahe, and Kepler.
Go back to the Renaissance to learn about the people and wild personalities who took the first steps toward modern astronomy.
Cost: $10/household
