  Sidewalk Astronomy Night
"Have telescope, will travel." Motto of the Sidewalk Astronomer This Saturday you don't need to visit the Observatory to see the heavens, we will bring the Observatory to a sidewalk near you. The Cincinnati Observatory is the local sponsor of the world-wide event where astronomers will set up their telescopes in public places. Even in the heart of the city, you will be able to see the craters of the Moon like you've never seen them before. If you see a telescope, make sure to say, 'Hi.' If it is clear, look for a telescope at: Fountain Square (Downtown Cincinnati) Newport on the Levee (Newport, KY) Joseph-Beth Booksellers (Rookwood Commons) Hyde Park Square Ault Park Pavillion Alms Park Overlook Ludlow and Telford (Clifton near the Esquire Theatre) Stonelick State Park (Goshen, OH) Village Square in Batesville, Indiana Ridgeway Elementary (Himlton, OH) For more information or to add your telescope to the cause, please contact Outreach Astronomer Dean Regas at 513-321-5186.
